bluball.gif (523 bytes) PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES

The programme's objective is to develop international managers who can comfortably and confidently move from country to country and deal effectively with counterparts from around the world. To achieve this objective, the programme will draw on the best instructors from around the world and will bring together students from throughout the Americas as well as elsewhere in the world. A special focus of the programme will be the Caribbean and Latin America, with visits to different countries; workshops on issues of special interest in the region; and invited guest speakers drawn from the region.

The programme provides an excellent opportunity for students from the English speaking Caribbean to meet counterparts from within the region as well as those from outside, and build international networks.

bluball.gif (523 bytes) PROGRAMME TIMING

The programme begins in September 2002. The core programme is an intensive three_semester one. Courses are offered during the day in intensive modules, usually of two weeks duration. Full_time students will complete the programme in eighteen months; part_time students can complete the programme over several years.

bluball.gif (523 bytes) PROGRAMME CONTENT

The Programme consists of a core set of international management courses, language courses, and a final international project. The language courses are closely linked to the international management courses, so that each reinforces the other. The final project gives students the opportunity to put into practice what they have learned in the courses.

Pre_programme modules in management and languages will be offered when necessary. The management module will be intensive management instruction for students without previous management education. The language module will be intensive language training for students without appropriate foreign language capability. Specific languages will be offered based on demand.
