George Belle holds the BSc and MSc Degrees (University of the West Indies), and Ph.D. from Manchester University, England. He is Senior Lecturer in Government and served as Deputy Dean of the Faculty, and Deputy Dean for Outreach. He headed the Department of Government, Sociology and Social Work from 1982 to 1986 and 1994 to 1996. Dr. Belle has been a visiting Professor at the University of California at Berkely since 1995.
His current research includes Nile Valley Philosophy Analysis, Themes:Materialist Dialectics and the Memphite Cosmology and Cosmogony of Ancient Pharoanic Egypt.
