Exchange and Study Abroad
Our
International Exchange/Study Abroad Programme makes it possible
for you to have the best of both worlds. The UWI enjoys
collaborative links with almost 30 Institutions in the United
States, Canada, Europe and the Caribbean.
These relationships make it possible for you to spend a semester
or a year pursuing courses at a partner Institution. You
may also opt to spend a period at one of the other UWI Campuses
in Jamaica or Trinidad.
The deadline for the receipt of applications is
December 31. Further particulars on the Exchange programmes are available from the
Admissions Section, Student Affairs. Applications in writing should be addressed to
the Senior Assistant Registrar, Student Affairs, setting out the proposed programme and the
University at which the student wishes to pursue the programme.
Students should consult the Dean of the Faculty or the Head
of their Department on their proposed programme. GENERAL
INFORMATION
Under the Exchange Agreement, tuition fees are paid to the "home"
University. No tuition fees are paid to the "Exchange" University, but
students are responsible for their living and all other expenses.
Study Abroad
agreements exist with institutions such as Haverford College and
Brown University, USA; and Warwick University, UK. Under
these agreements, students are required to pay tuition fees to
the host institution.
