W
elcome to the website of the second Caribbean Conference on Crime and Criminal Justice.  The conference, hosted by the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus,  is intended to bring together scholars doing research on crime in the Caribbean and among Caribbean peoples, and all other scholars engaged in current criminological research that might contribute to the development of the discipline in the West Indies.

The first conference, held in Barbados in 1998, was a resounding success.  It was organised by the Crime and Criminal Justice Research Centre of the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, in collaboration with the Centre of Criminology at the University of Toronto, and brought together Criminologists from the Caribbean, South America, Europe and North America.  A book of some papers presented at the Conference is forthcoming.
